Title IX Policy and Procedures

Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, along with Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science Health Clinics (collectively hereinafter “Â鶹ӰÒô”) is committed to providing an educational and employment environment that is free from discrimination and harassment. The Title IX Policy and Procedures prohibit sex discrimination, sexual harassment, and retaliation for engaging in protected activity.

Â鶹ӰÒô is guided by its core values: collaboration, excellence, innovation, integrity, justice, respect, and scholarship. Â鶹ӰÒô values and upholds the equal dignity of all members of its community, which is composed of all employees, students, and third parties engaged in that work including but not limited to patients, volunteers, contractors. Its policies and procedures apply in any venue in which Â鶹ӰÒô provides educational programs or patient care including Â鶹ӰÒô clinics. Specifically, these policies and procedures strive to balance the rights of the Parties in the resolution process during what is often a difficult time for all involved.

Â鶹ӰÒô seeks to comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances prohibiting discrimination, harassment and retaliation in post-secondary education institutions. Â鶹ӰÒô does not discriminate against any employee, applicant for employment, student, or applicant for admission on the basis of sex.

This Policy covers sex discrimination and sexual harassment in both employment and access to educational opportunities. Therefore, any member of Â鶹ӰÒô community whose acts deny, deprive, unreasonably interfere with or limit the education or employment, residential and/or social access, benefits, and/or opportunities of any member of Â鶹ӰÒô community, guest, or visitor on the basis of that person’s sex, is in violation of this Policy.

Â鶹ӰÒô will promptly and effectively address any such discrimination of which it has Knowledge/Notice/Formal Complaint, working to stop, prevent and remedy sex discrimination and harassment through supportive measures, Informal Resolution and implementation of the Investigation and Hearing Process. Knowledge/Notice/Formal Complaint includes any communication of information that defines or substantiates conduct covered by or described in this policy and any Formal Complaint.
