The CPASS Foundation Mini Medical School (MMS) at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (Â鶹ӰÒôMS) offers 4th, 5th, and 6th-grade students an exciting introduction to the world of health sciences and medical professions. Through engaging lectures, hands-on experiments, and interactive exploration, young students can discover the wonders of medicine. This Saturday enrichment program is offered by Chicago Medical School (CMS) to students from local neighborhoods around Â鶹ӰÒôMS/CMS, completely free of charge.

What is Mini Medical School?

Mini Medical School offers a curriculum centered around 7 organ systems, taught during Saturday sessions from January through April 2025. Participants will meet twice a month, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.

The 7 body systems covered include Brain/Mental Health, Cardiovascular, Dental, Immunology, Gastrointestinal, Musculoskeletal, and Pulmonary.

The program is designed to provide an engaging, hands-on learning experience for all participants.

A Typical Day at Mini Medical School

1. Welcome and pre-session quiz, breakfast provided 
2. Introduction presentation for the topic of that session. 
3. Small groups created for a rotation of activities 
   • Anatomy exploration including specimen dissection 
   • Experience including data collection and analysis 
   • Career and Technology
