Khyati Patel, PharmD, BCACP, Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice, joined the university in late July 2012. Dr. Patel obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy degree with Magna Cum Laude honors from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2011. She completed a post graduate year-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital, Hines, IL (2011-2012).
Dr. Patel established a clinical pharmacy service to serve as an Ambulatory Care Pharmacist at the Aurora Medical Center, Kenosha (WI)’s Family Medicine Clinic, where she provides patient care using chronic disease management, comprehensive medication review, and medication monitoring principles. Dr. Patel is one of the founding faculty of the Interprofessional Community Clinic, a student-run clinic for the underserved patients of nearby community and current faculty advisor for the Interprofessional Clinic Initiative. Dr. Patel is the co-host of "HelixTalk", Rosalind Franklin University's College of Pharmacy Podcast.
Dr. Patel’s research interests include chronic disease management, opioid abuse, vaccinations, scholarship of teaching and learning, and podcasting as an educational tool
