Kim received her registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics after completing a nutrition program at Montana State University and a dietetic internship at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. She holds a master’s degree from Utah State University, where her graduate research focused on behavior and weight management through the lens of personality psychology, specifically examining how individuals perceive their ability to influence life events. Kim has experience teaching various nutrition courses at multiple universities. She is also a co-author of several textbooks published by Jones & Bartlett, including Nutrition Essentials, Nutrition, Discovering Nutrition, and Nutrition Across Life Stages. Additionally, she has contributed to the review of textbook chapters on diverse nutrition topics. Kim resides in Nevada with her husband and has three grown children.
