Dr. Tierney is a Rosalind Franklin University alumna and has been a CRNA since 2017. She entered the healthcare industry initially working as a firefighter and paramedic. She received her BSN from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, IL. Her nursing experience includes correctional, emergency, critical care transport, and finally intensive care at Loyola University Medical Center’s cardiovascular and thoracic ICU.
As a CRNA she practices clinically at several facilities located in Indiana and Illinois. At Rosalind Franklin she serves as the Coordinator of Clinical Education and has been guest lecturing since 2018. Dr. Tierney lectures within several courses including principles of anesthesia, pathophysiology, and advanced anesthesia pharmacology. She holds a special interest in the areas of ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia and POCUS.
