Dr. Piyush Vyas received his medical degree from Baroda Medical College, India. He completed his internship and radiology residency at the John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County in 1974 and worked in private practice for thirty years at St. Therese Hospital and Victory Memorial Hospital, where he served in a variety of leadership positions.
Dr. Vyas is board certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology. His current location is the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, where he is Chief of the Imaging Section. He has been a Chicago Medical School faculty member since 2006.
Dr. Vyas has been an active participant in the local medical community, currently serving as Vice President of the Lake County Medical Society. He has been a delegate for the Illinois State Medical Society for the past 20 years and currently chairs the Governmental Affairs Council. He also serves as a delegate for the American Medical Association.
