Dr. Chatchavalvanich received an MD from Mahidol University in Thailand and a PhD in Physiology and Biophysics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. His research interests are cardiovascular, stem cell, and exercise physiology.
He was a faculty member at a medical school in Thailand for 7 years before joining the faculty of Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 2019. He is currently a co-course director for the Structure and Function course, teaches in several other courses, and serves in a number of the college committees.
